"Do you remember the floods?" Bronson apparently began.
"Do you remember that boy who got his foot stuck in the grate, and the river kept rising, and it kept rising, and it kept rising, and eventually they tried to get him out but he drowned?
"Well, that wouldn't have happened to me. Do you want to know why? Because I'd have said, cut it off now.
"Tom, what I'm trying to say is, right, what I'm trying to say, son, is sometimes, yeah, you've got to cut a little piece of yourself off, yeah, no matter how much it hurts, in order to grow. In order to move on. Do you know what I mean?"
Then, without skipping a beat, he asked: "What you having for your tea?"
Tom Hardy played the infamous convict in his biographical film (Vertigo)
We're not sure whether Hardy took that advice into his subsequent relationships, but he did eventually find lasting love, having been with Charlotte Riley since meeting her on the set of ITV's adaptation of Wuthering Heights in 2009.
The couple got married in 2014 and now have two children together. Can Hardy give Bronson credit for any of this? We're not so sure.
He can probably give him a little for his subsequent film career though, with the biopic pushing the profile of the London-born actor to greater heights.

Netflix announces new Harlan Coben series following Fool Me Once success
Fool Me Once's Harlan Coben is making more series on Netflix.

Warning: Spoilers for Fool Me Once ahead
Fans are in for a treat as Netflix has announced two upcoming series from writer Harlan Coben.
Fool Me Once is currently number two in Netflix's 'Top 10', despite it coming out over three weeks ago on New Year's Day.
Based on Harlan Coben's novel of the same name, Fool Me Once follows grieving wife, Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan), who is trying to come to terms with the murder of her husband, Joe Burkett (Richard Armitage).

After the funeral, Maya installs a nanny cam to keep an eye on her two-year-old daughter, Lily (Thea Taylor-Morgan).
When taking a closer look at the footage, the mum is shocked to see her 'dead' husband in the house, playing with Lily.
Netflix says Keegan's character 'uncovers a deadly conspiracy that stretches deep into the past.'
And in the end, we learn that Maya was actually the one behind Joe's death, after discovering he had murdered her sister (and that he was prepared to murder her, too).
The show did leave fans with some burning questions after watching all eight episodes, however. Like why did Shane (Emmet J. Scanlan) - Maya's friend and fellow military officer - keep putting trackers on Maya's car?
Netflix
In an interview with LADbible, Coben was asked: "Did you expect so many fans to be asking why Shane kept putting trackers on Maya’s car?"
The crime author replied: "Not really, because I think in the end Shane’s behaviour is so obvious.
"Imagine your best friend, who trusts you with a house key, has PTSD, is taking medication, has been forced out of the military due to a scandal, had two close family murdered, is acting sketchy, is lying to you – and just told you that she saw her dead husband still alive."
Coben added: "A good friend, especially one with Shane’s background, would do whatever he could to keep an eye (track) that friend and make sure she’s OK, especially when she’s always watching a little girl. The vast majority of people got that, I think.
"I often find that people think they find plot holes when in truth they just haven’t considered every possibility. But that’s part of the fun, so have it."
Netflix
Now, if Fool Me Once was your cup of tea, then you'll be delighted with Netflix's announcement of two more adaptations from the writer.
Taking to social media, Netflix said: "Following the recent success of Fool Me Once (Top 10 in 91 countries!) we’re excited to announce two new @HarlanCoben limited series adaptations... MISSING YOU will begin production this spring, and will then be followed by RUN AWAY."
"Oh yessss Love Watching Harlan Coben series! They are superb," one fan commented, as another added: "Great news, we’re waiting."
Missing You will follow detective Kat Donovan who stumbles across her estranged fiancĂ© on a dating app, forcing her to delve back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder, according to Deadline.
While Run Away is about a man named Simon, whose life is shattered when his oldest daughter, Paige, turns to drugs and runs away from home.
Simon’s search takes him into a wild and violent journey.
The dramas will be the ninth and tenth Coben adaptations produced by Netflix.Featured Image Credit: Netflix

Stanley Kubrick made incredibly x-rated demands to Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman for very controversial movie
Director Stanley Kubrick was known for being a perfectionist

Lucy Devine
When Stanley Kubrick's 1999 movie was released, it was one of the most talked-about films of the time.
It starred Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise who played married couple, Alice and William.
The movie was particularly fascinating to fans, due to the fact that Kidman and Cruise were actually married in real life at the time.
The pair married on Christmas Eve 1990 before splitting in 2001.

The flick - called Eyes Wide Shut which turned 25 this year - was pretty controversial, not least because of Kubrick's directing style.
It took a whopping 15 months to make, which set the Guinness World Record for the amount of time shooting a film.
During this period, it's reported that Kubrick - known for his perfectionism - insisted on Kidman and Cruise shooting approximately 50 takes of different scenes.
According to Vanity Fair, he even sat with the pair for hours and asked them to divulge their fears, thoughts on commitment and details about their relationships.
"Tom would hear things that he didn’t want to hear," said Kidman.
"It wasn’t like therapy, because you didn’t have anyone to say, 'And how do you feel about that?' It was honest, and brutally honest at times."

In one scene of the movie, William imagines Alice having sex with another man.
Although the scene was short, Kubrick reportedly demanded that Kidman shot six days of sex scenes with a male model and posed in various 'erotic positions'.
During this time, Cruise reportedly wasn't allowed on set and Kidman was apparently told not to tell him anything about what had happened.
As the filming continued, it seemed that the lines between fiction and reality were becoming hard to distinguish.
Not only did Kidman and Cruise sleep in their characters' bedroom, but Cruise even left loose change on the bedside table, just as he did at their home.
“As an actor, you set up: there’s reality, and there’s pretend,” said Kidman.
“And those lines get crossed, and it happens when you’re working with a director that allows that to happen. It’s a very exciting thing to happen; it’s a very dangerous thing to happen.”

After Eyes Wide Shut was released, Cruise - who apparently had a stomach ulcer during filming, but didn't want to tell Kubrick - was criticised for his performance.
But the actor never blamed Kubrick, who died shortly before the film aired.
"There were rumours out there about how Stanley was going to make a pornographic picture. But that wasn’t the movie he was making," he said.
"You can see that they didn’t quite grasp what the movie was, even when they saw it, because they carried the baggage in.
"You have to understand: it’s Stanley Kubrick. It’s not going to be what you think it is. And he’s not going to tell you everything. So even the people who think they know Stanley Kubrick’s movies, missed it.

Charles Bronson's ex-cell mate points out the major problem with the movie
Charles Bronson's ex-cellmate explains how accurate Tom Hardy's portrayal of the infamous Broadmoor inmate is.

Shola Lee
Charles Bronson's ex-cellmate has spoke out about how accurate Tom Hardy's portrayal of the infamous Broadmoor inmate is.
For those not familiar, Charles has spent decades behind bars and is often dubbed Britain's 'most notorious prisoner.'
He's no stranger to media attention, and in 2008 Tom Hardy starred in a biographical film about the inmate, called Bronson.
While the film achieved critical success, Charles' ex-cellmate, Stephen Gillen, has drawn attention to just how accurate the film is.
Stephen, who was sentenced to 17 years in a category A prison, goes 'well back' with Charles and was quick to correct public perception of the inmate.
Play
"See the thing about Charlie is the press has demonised him so is the prison service but he's a human being like anyone else, and he's going to react to what is in front of him. He had a lot of challenges but there's a lot more to Charlie and other sides to Charlie that people don't actually know. So, when I see this film [Bronson] I'm reminded of the hell that he has had to navigate."
One thing that the film got right? The Broadmoor disco. Yep, possibly the most unbelievable scene in the film which sees Charles busting moves in the high-security prison among fellow inmates actually happened.
Channel 5
Charlie would even tell Stephen 'crazy stories about Broadmoor and about this disco.'
It's not just the wild discos that the film gets right, but Tom's portrayal of Charlie distressed and arguing back with officers is pretty spot on: "I'm used to saying it's a lot of detail here and a good portrayal for Charlie. A lot of this responsiveness and violence towards screws [officers] was he was trying to keep his self-respect but it was definitely you know a cry for help in some ways because of the conditions and because he really I know like you know a lot of us found it really hard to cope."

He even went on to say that the scenes of Charles being dosed up on medication are pretty true to life: "This is very authentic as mad as it seems and I know they juiced Charlie up in there many times just uh just to have him like a fraggle, so it wasn't a problem.
While Stephen's general consensus is that the film gets a lot right, he asks those watching to see things from Charlie's perspective, even if he was holding people hostage in prison: "He was known for taking a lot of people hostage, Charlie. I want the audience to try I invite them to understand what it would be like to be in a hell on earth like this with no escape."

UK’s Most Notorious Prisoner Charles Bronson Says He’s 'Coming Home'
Bronson has spent more than 40 years behind bars
.jpg)
Emily Brown
Britain's most notorious prisoner Charles Bronson has declared he is 'coming home' ahead of his upcoming parole hearing.
Bronson, who has changed his name to Charles Salvador and is now 70 years old, was first imprisoned for armed robbery when he was just 22.
His initial seven-year sentence was extended due to his attacks on guards and other inmates, and it wasn't long after he was released in 1987 that he was back behind bars, leading to a total of more than 40 years in prison.
He is now preparing for a historic parole hearing which will be the first of its kind to take place in public, and believes he is 'closer now to getting out than [he has] been in 30-odd years'.

Speaking to The Mirror in a phone call from jail, he said: “I’ve got my jam roll [parole] coming up. All my reports are excellent. It’s looking good, it really is... Up to now there’s not a date, but it’s looking like June, July. I’m the first man in the British Isles to have a public parole hearing. All these decades I’ve done.”
Throughout his time in prison, Bronson has been known to cover himself in Lurpak to attack prison officers, had nine rooftop protests and held a reported 11 hostages. More recently, though, the inmate has turned his attention to writing poetry and painting, with his creations donated to charity to raise money.
He also still works out regularly, explaining: "I still smash my press-ups out. I’m 70 years old and I can still do 95 press-ups in 30 seconds. I don’t walk on the yard, I run – sit-ups, press-ups, squats, I love it. When I go out on the yard that’s my hour of freedom. I’ve got a big smile, I’m happy. I’m walking out as fit as the day I came in. I’m coming home."

During the interview, Bronson shared his opinions on other inmates such as Michael Stone and Levi Bellfield, who he described as an 'evil monster'.
As for Stone, Bronson said, "I know Michael Stone. All these years he’s been in prison, not one day of it has he been on a protection wing. The reason he hasn’t been on a protection wing is he claims he’s innocent of them murders. And I believe he is. Bellfield, from the day he was sentenced 20 years ago has been on the protection wings. He’s not just a murdering b*stard, he’s a coward."
Bronson also described his time behind bars as being full of 'solitary isolation, punishment blocks, dungeons, closed visits.'

Then, without skipping a beat, he asked: "What you having for your tea?"
